Liverpool is an amazing city, with a huge amount to offer to those seeking culture, good food or just some quality beer. Look out for traditional pubs such as the Ship & Mitre, as well as fantastic craft beer bars like Dead Crafty.

Dead Crafty: a modern craft beer bar, recently celebrating its 10th anniversary. Great beers, usually including some special rarities, and something strong and dark.

Ship and Mitre: genuinely one of the best beer pubs in England. A fantastic range of beers, including local real ale (8+ hand pumps), UK craft beers, and rare imports from Europe…my last visit included two Cantillon beers with the rare Zwanze 2026 edition.

Baltic Fleet: an old school pub near the waterfront, featuring a great range of real ale and craft beer.

Love Lane Brewery: modern tap house in an old but updated building. Serving beers brewed on site under the Love Lane and Higsons brands.

Head of Steam: part of a small chain of pubs specialising in quality craft beer.
